Started Painting my test model and I'm very happy with the results. Sadly, the pics don't show the depths of the metals. I may go back and add some weathering as well.
Great looking piece! Always enjoy your use of highlighting. Looks very sharp on the weapon. Interesting looking base as well. How do you add depth to your metals? I like to do a lot of glazes and start with an appropriate color for the underpainting - yellow ochre or red for gold, etc...
Thanks Mate! Metals were glazed to beat the band with about 4 different color mixes of glazes applied real thin numerous times. Highlighted and re-glazed again. The pics don't show the true depth of the metals sadly.
I typically underpaint my metals with black for silvers or dark brown for golds / tins / coppers.
Hope to have 2 units done by this time next week. I just started the skin on my 6 bulls (2 x 3) and the first 2 layers are done.

I'm anxious to see more!

Domus, I really like the way you do your wood on weapon hafts. Think I may have to steal this meathod;)
